I have been fortunate to spend the last 20 months working remotely, and here are three tools I use for eye-level meetings, movie set lighting, and privacy. No need to google these items; I have included the links :).
Have you ever sat down to join a Zoom meeting, turned on your camera, and realized the desk you are sitting at is too low? The conference is about to start in 2 minutes, so you run to your bookshelf to grab a stack of books to bring your webcam to eye level. A short anxiety attack is waiting to happen. I purchased this beautifully designed laptop stand in February 2021, and it has become my best friend. I can neatly put my charging cable through the designated opening, quickly move it from one room to another, and it has space to store my notebook and wireless mouse neatly. The icing on the cherry: it keeps my computer from overheating while I work.
Ten years ago, we would not have imagined our homes would be where we spend our days checking off items on our to-do list. We didn’t plan for perfectly lit rooms where the sun catches our best angles. Instead of replacing light bulbs all over the house, I invested in a ring light. I simply plug it in for Online Conferencing, Live Broadcast, and Video Conferencing.
