He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed. (Proverbs 13:20 NKJV)
This verse spoke volumes to me. Sometimes we think the friends we had in high school, college, or long term friends should be in our lives forever but people change, things change, and everyone grows at a different level. It doesn’t mean the one that grows faster is better, just different.
You may have dreams, goals, and visions that may not be understood by a friend you want to accomplish those things with. You have to surround yourself with others who can pour wisdom into you, so that you too may be wise.
It’s okay, people change. It’s okay when relationships disintegrate when they’re not positive or pushing you to be better. People change. Circumstances change. It’s really okay.
Walk with those you can learn something from.
